6 tries by both sides, and excellent display of champagne rugby, played at Civil Service Rugby Club grounds.

The kick off for this entertaining game was 2.30pm Sunday 2nd January 2011. Conditions where perfect and after the warm up the teams began at a blistering pace with The Perrenials surging to the CIYMS 5 metre line. CIYMS weathered the storm and after some 2 and fro CIYMS asserted dominance which was to last for much of the 1st and 2nd quarter.

the Perrenials where not to be defeated however and trailing 5 tries to 1 (we think) they began to get themselves into the game and scored try after try eventually levelling out the try count.

We don’t know the final score but it was close if not a draw.

These guys encapsulate the spirit of the game. All very nice before and after the game, but during it – Total Rugby. These are men who know how to play the game and todays game was full of skill and flowing rugby.

We are proud at InTouch to cover both teams and look forward to more action from them for the rest of the season.

So far all of you out there who think you are too old to play rugby. Think again, because you will find these two teams provide a haven for anyone over 35. The rules are quite simple, rolling subs, lots of beer, play hard rugby and wax lyrical in the bar afterwards

A pleasure to watch and cover, and below you will find lots of pictures and video highlights from todays game including interviews with the captains.
