The weather was on our side, as over 100 golfers took to the golf course, in our charity golf day at the Hilton complex at Templepatrick.

Winners of the main prize were the team from Stewart Falconer, Chartered Accountants, with Almac, the Craigavon based Pharmaceutical company, taking the runners up spot. Keith McGarry came up trumps with the longest drive and nearest the pin went to one of the Harry Corry fourball.

The evening cabaret attracted some 160 guests and under the MC of Gerry Donnelly a great evenings entertainment was had. The breaking news is that Elvis is still alive.

A big thank you to organiser supremo Geoff Goldsbrough and to everyone else who helped out on the day or worked behind the scenes. Events like these don’t just happen, it is the people in the club that make it happen – well done one and all. The financial outcome for the day will be relayed in due course…….. Perennials hit the 7’s circuit

Saturday 14 June 2014 saw the Perennials made their debut as a 7 a side team to be reckoned with on the International Sevens tour.

In support of the fundraising day for the Fintan Hillyard appeal at the home of Belfast Harlequins, the boys in blue domed their sevens gear for a great days festival of rugby.

Led by Don Thompson a core of Perennials and guests did us proud on the day and although not winning the tournament outright, it was the taking part that counted. A big thank you to one and all.

Hopefully a lot of money was raised on the day in support of a very worthy cause. Click on the link below to donate,
