A good afternoon for it. In the hotly contested series of games undertaken by Perennials each season this annual fixture is ferociously contested with a combined Cooke Rugby & Instonians Rugby side.

Videos of play including interviews below report and pictures link including highlights of play from both sides and Geoff Goldsborough gives us an update on the Perennials Charity work.

Both these teams can play seriously good rugby and we were entertained by an excellent game.

Instonians/Cooke took the honours but with glasses of Port downed at half time or was it all the intervals the standard of rugby got better as the game progressed and the guys settled down into their stride putting together excellent phases throughout and producing some very well worked tries.

We managed to get 90 photos CLICK HERE to view them.

Perennials are going on tour shortly to play London Irish! Also their charity work has continued with a sell out event fundraising for The Newforge Taggers shortly sold out with 200 places and a waiting list of another 60.

The bar at Shaws bridge was packed after the game and we managed to catch up with one of the organisers of the Perennials Geoff Goldsborough who gave us an overview of some of their activities.
