I was rudely awoken by my alarm clock at 6:30am on Monday 20th June. In a dazed desperation I turned it off and then remembered – it was the first day of pre-season training and I had to get up, get breakfast and get on the road.
Four weeks of holidays came to an abrupt ending that morning and routine was soon to be resumed. I had enjoyed time in Florida with a few friends including team mates Chris Henry, Stephen Ferris and Darren Cave and then a week in the sun, in Fuerteventura with other friends including team masseur Kyle Alexander. The holidays mainly consisted of theme/water parks, sunshine and golf so it was both exciting and relaxing when it needed to be! My eyes remained shut when on most of the roller-coasters in Universal Studios but thankfully I had peer pressure from my team mates that I had to at least venture onto a few of them…and I successfully faced some of my fears, having never been on a proper roller coaster before…………….
