On Saturday the 15th August 2010, 150-200 players, friends, and fellow rugby enthusiasts decended on Ophir RFC to play two pre-season friendly games and watch the official opening of Ophir’s new clubhouse by Dr Syd Millar CBE.
The sun was splitting the stones as they say, and Ophir could not have had better weather.
Many congratulations to Ophir on this development of their facilities!
Ophir also fielded two teams on the day to play Randalstown and Ballyclare. Both visiting sides were delighted with the opportunity to bring all their pre-season efforts onto the pitch with a training game against Ophir a side known to be on the up.

The new clubhouse facilities are excellent and there is a real buzz in the air at Magowan Park.
Everyone stayed after the games for a BBQ, and in the afternoon sun quite a few beers were consumed. Lets just say, a brilliant day – THANK YOU OPHIR RFC!
