For consumers looking to celebrate the festive season and head into Dry January with a glass of fizz that won’t leave them fuzzy-headed the next day, Bemuse’s non alcoholic honey wines are the perfect choice. These are drinks with nature at their beating heart. Produced by natural fermentation, using only raw (British) honey, yeast and water – infused with all natural botanicals and flavourings. Despite the honey base, Bemuse’s gently effervescent wines are unmistakably dry.
The four distinct flavours include ‘Origo’; a zesty and aromatic blend of spring wildflower honey paired with an intriguing combination of citra and ekuanot hops. There’s also ‘Pomona’; apple blossom honey infused with cardamom and ginger, and ‘Calluna’; raw heather honey with tarragon and Thai basil. ‘Fiora’ is the rosé blend; delicate and lightly floral, it’s made from English meadow borage honey and wild raspberry.
It’s oh-so-easy for customers to reach for a guilt-free second glass when these wines contain only 0.5% ABV and 30 calories per 250ml serving, whilst also being low sugar and gluten free. Co-founder Anna Chalov explains the decision to use fermented honey as the base for Bemuse’s wines: “Formerly celebrated as the nectar of the gods, honey is known for its healing nature. It’s a marvellous ingredient that helps to boost immunity, contains anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and even offers digestive support.
Beyond that, bees are a vital part of the biodiversity that supports the entire food chain. Without them, we’d struggle to survive on this planet. By investing in honey cultivation we can support meaningful projects that raise bee awareness and help to boost the alarmingly dwindling bee population.”
As we head into the festive season, with Dry January just beyond, customers can savour every sip in the knowledge that the contents of their glass are delicious, guilt-free and planet friendly. Surely that makes for a refreshing toast to 2025!
