The Omagh Mini-Rugby Team travelled to Ravenhill on Friday night last and entertained the capacity crowd during the half time interval of the Ulster v Leinster game.
As the game was designed to show off their skills and lasted only a short period the Omagh lads learnt an important lesson – to be fully tuned into the game and concentrate from the beginning.
They were caught on the hop and the Belfast Harlequins had the Omagh lads on the back foot and anchored deep in their own half. Fortunately they gave as good as they got when it came to tackling and commitment and their nervous energy saw them get to grips with the game.CLICK HERE to like Nick Williams facebook page and share
All members of the team deserved praise and although they lost by one try time was the killer rather than the opposition. They were beginning to gel and show their superiority when the referee blew for full time in order that photos could be taken of all participating teams.
The boys enjoyed a great night with food supplied, courtesy of Damian Havlin’s Subway franchise, and plenty of photos and autographs granted by both Ulster and Leinster players.
