Ulster warmed up for the start of the new RaboDirect Pro 12 season with a 24 points to 20 to win over English Championship side Newcastle Falcons at Ravenhill. The result means that Ulster complete their pre-season campaign unbeaten.
The first try of the game came on ten minutes and followed a period of sustained pressure from the Ulster pack. After a series of darts for the line it was new arrival Nick Williams who finally made the break-through, crossing for the home side for his first try in an Ulster jersey.
