It’s the return of Danske Bank Schools Cup 3rd round. A tournament that past players from across the province still discuss with vigorous passion well after their oversized jerseys no longer fit. The 3rd round draw has turned our office into a cauldron of poor banter, memories and predictions. Of our staff who played in the Schools Cup we have a past winner with Campbell College, a quarter finalist with Friends School Lisburn, a semi-finalist with Ballymena Academy and a finalist with Wallace High School. The tension is palatable as all 4 schools that we represented face each other, battling for a place in the quarter – finals, one step closer to eternal schools cup glory……..
