Wednesday night saw Match Six of the first round games take place in this years Nutty Krust Floodlit Tournament at Chambers Park . The encounter saw Omagh U19s take on Coleraine U19s

Omagh kicked off the proceedings on a dry but cold evening with a slight wind advantage . Omagh,s no 8 Michael Gibson showed their early intent with a couple of runs gaining ground and territory but it was Coleraine who nearly opened the scoring with an interception by centre Conor Simpson who ran from his own half but was denied a try by a covering tackle from the Omagh centre .Omagh opened the scoring on 15mins after a maul in the Coleraine 22 and it was Prop Forward Lee Mclaughlin who forced himself over the line for the try . The extra points were added by no 10 Neil Mellon . . Omagh further increased their lead on 20 mins with again Lee Mclaughlin being used as a battering ram to force his way over from a short distance to score his 2nd try of the night . Neil mellon failed to add the conversion . Outhalf Neil Mellon added a further penalty on 26 mins to increase Omaghs lead.
Coleraine came back into the game with no 10 Jordan Logue trying to inject a bit of pace into the Coleraine attack Omagh broke out of their half and from a line out no19 Adam Longwell scored with Neil Mellon missing the extra points.

Coleraine kicked off the second half hoping for better times but it was Omagh who increased their lead through no 8 Michael Gibson with a pick up from the base of the scrum crashing over to make the score 25-0 with the extra points added.
Coleraine never let their heads drop and continued to scrap away and were rewarded with a penalty which Jordan Logue converted , getting them on the scoreboard. .the final score of the game came from Omaghs impressive no 8 Michael Gibson who made a break from the lineout to score his second try of the game which was converted by Neil Mellon to leave the final score Omagh 34 Coleraine 3.

Man Of The Match award went to Omagh’s no 8 Michael Gibson for his 2 tries and all round performance on the park
