Nuttall Pichot And Sebastian Coe to speak at IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition
The International Rugby Board (IRB) is delighted to announce that Lord Sebastian Coe will speak at the inaugural IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition.
As an Olympic gold medallist, former world-record holder in the 800m and 1500m and leading administrator, Coe is now one of the most recognisable figures in world sport. Prior to his current role as Chairman of the British Olympic Association, Coe is best known for overseeing the successful delivery of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and was most recently appointed to the International Olympic Committee’s Coordination Commission for Tokyo 2020.
As part of his attendance at the inaugural event, Coe will share his experiences in a special networking breakfast with delegates and media on Tuesday, November 19. At the event, he will discuss a range of topics including his experience delivering the world’s largest sporting event as well as the benefits Rugby can expect ahead of its return to the Olympic Games programme in Rio 2016.
Speaking of his participation, Coe said: “The Olympic movement is the most powerful driver of change through sport – both social and economic – and to have Rugby sitting at the table alongside other great sports is hugely important.”
“It gives me great pleasure to be attending the first IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition for what I am sure will be an important event for the international Rugby and sporting community in the countdown to Rugby World Cup 2015 and Rio 2016.”
IRB Chief Executive Brett Gosper said: “Lord Coe is a sporting icon and recognised leader within international sport and the Olympic movement. I am delighted that he will share his experiences at the inaugural IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition.”
“With many key topics set to be discussed, this year’s event will provide delegates with a valuable opportunity to network with leading figures and decision-makers in world sport.”
“With less than one month to go, we look forward to welcoming the Rugby community and wider sporting world to Dublin for what I am sure will be one of the highlights of international Rugby calendar.”

The International Rugby Board has announced that Stephen Nuttall (Senior Director, YouTube Sports EMEA) and Argentinean Rugby legend, Agustin Pichot (Chairman, IRB Sevens Strategy Group and IRB Hall of Fame inductee) will speak at the inaugural IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition which takes place in Dublin on November 17-20 2013.

Nuttall will also draw upon his experience overseeing partnerships with organisations including the IOC, FIFA, UEFA, more than 200 European soccer clubs and YouTube channels such as STR SkillSchool, Freekickerz, Copa90, PolePosition and the Global Cycling Network.
Nuttall will be accompanied on the panel by Murray Barnett (IRB Head of Commercial, Broadcast and Marketing) and Hugo Sharman (Director, North and Special Events at Deltatre).
As IRB Council Member for Argentina, Pichot will take part in the ‘Developing a Performance Culture’ panel. As well as his senior roles at the IRB, Pichot will discuss how his experiences performing on the field translated to success once his playing career ended, as well as exploring what values Rugby can instil in young people today.
IRB Chief Executive Brett Gosper said: “Drawing upon their experiences in digital and online and international Rugby, I am delighted that Stephen and Agustín will share their experiences with delegates at this year’s event for what is shaping up to be an insightful and thought-leading conference.
