Lurgan 1st XV ended up having a free weekend as last Saturdays opponents Antrim cried off on Friday night stating that they could not field a side therefore giving Lurgan two more points in Kukri Qualifying three. With Enniskillen III’s having pulled out of Magners Junior league five this also left Lurgan’s second string without a game on Saturday.

In Lurgan’s Group of the Gordon West Cup PNSI defeated Holywood with a 23 – 12 away victory in a game which had to be replayed following the abandoned match between the sides two weeks ago.
This leaves Lurgan, PSNI and Holywood all on 4 points with two wins from three games in group C. Going on the results between the three sides this leaves Lurgan top of the group on point’s difference with PSNI finishing second.
Resulting in Lurgan having a home draw against Randalstown who were runners up in Group D on Saturday 19th February.

First Conference Game:

This Saturday Lurgan play their first game in the Kukri Qualifying three conference with Rainey Old Boys II’s the visitors to Pollock Park. This will be Lurgan’s last home game until the new year as they are on their travels until Christmas with Kukri Qualifying three trips to Civil Service (Nov 20) where the sides will also play for Jim Allen’s Wolfhound Cup; PSNI (Dec 4); Strabane (Dec 18).
