A lovely sunny day at Deramore brought out a good crowd to support a joint venture between the Perennials and Newforge Taggers, to raise some funds for the Taggers.

Twelve very enthusiastic teams of tag rugby players, some experienced ‘taggers’ others new to the game, enjoyed a round robin festival of rugby and entertainment.
The evening entertainment attracted some 120 people, with our own Bernie McGrath providing a fine meal, as everyone joined in the party atmosphere.
The ballot raised some £850 and overall the day raised some £6000 for the Newforge Taggers club – a resounding success.
A very big thank you to all the sponsors, to those who donated ballot prizes and to all the volunteers who made the day a great success.
Nigel Cinnamon speaking on behalf of Newforge Taggers, paid warm tribute to the Perennials for the day, their previous support and ‘toasted’ the club. A very uplifting day for all who were there, perfectly completed by a short speech of thanks by Newforge Tagger James Martin, and an evening of dancing.
