Mixed Social Non-Contact Tag Rugby
Anyone can play Tag Rugby. It is a non-contact sport which is easy to pick up as well as great fun. The recommended squad size for a Tag team is 12-14 players. During a game, each team must have no more than seven players on the field of play at any one time. Of the seven players on field, three must be female.
Tag rugby is played using approved Tag rugby shorts (with no pockets and a velcro patch on each hip for a Tag to be attached). Tag belts will be made available for beginners teams only.
Event co-ordinator/Referees
The event will be run by Claire McAteer who has experience in managing venues for the IRFU and is also an IRFU accredited referee.
All matches will be officiated by IRFU accredited referees.
Provision of First Aid
A qualified medical practitioner will be present for the duration of the event who will be responsible for provision of first aid.
