CI 2nd XV in Ballyclare bonus

Three tries by Pete McCausland in the first 30 minutes of this game followed by one for Andy Hodgen before halftime sealed this victory for the twos and ensured that they remain unbeaten after three games. Ricky Kirkwood continued his fine form by adding a try in the second half to leave the score a convincing 25-7 to the home side even in the absence of successful conversions.

CI 4th XV tame the Toon

A strong CI 4′s side proved too much for Ballymoney 5′s in running out 49-15 winners in this away fixture. The scoreline does not reflect the physical nature of this game. Richard Heasley was taken to hospital with a knock to his back which thankfully turned out to be only soft tissue damage – we wish him well. The CI bench of Johnny Scott, James McCombe and James Finlay was fully utilised as cover for further injuries to Alan Megarry and Ricky Maunder. The 4′s dug deep and scored a number of fine tries with Wes adding enough tries to his personal tally that our reporter lost count (approx. 6) This victory maintains the 4′s unblemished record to date.
