Malone defeated Queens in their Ulster League encounter by 31-7.
Both sides did not field full strength teams however Malone had way to much firepower espically upfront and Queens were always playing catch up.
Malone lead at the break by 7-0 through a try by Josh Pentland which he converted.
The second half saw three further tries from Austin Blackburn who strength saw him over the line, Josh failing to add the points on this occassion.
Next to score was second row Corry Tipping who after good work by the forwards found himself in open space after the ball was moved wide to cross the line, Josk was on target with the conversion to extend the lead to 19-0
Queens played some good rugby in the second half but were unable to breakdown the excellent home defence.
Michael Barker took a great opportunity when he crossed the line, the conversion was sent wide, Malone now 24-0
Late into the half replacement Chris Leathem touched down and Josh found the target to leave Malone 31-0 ahead. Queens to their credit scored a very late converted try through their number 12 to leave the final score 31-7 in favour of Malone.
This was an excellent result for Malone but it will be an interesting game when both sides meet again this time in AIL 2A game at Gibson Park on the 10th December, I feel that could be one for the diary, a cracking game in prospect hope to see you there.
