Malone won away against City of Derry on Saturday by 24-7. and now occupy 2nd place, Queens are on the same points with a slight points differential

The City of Derry pack gave our boys a hard day at the office but to their credit the Malone pack despite being under severe pressure never shyed away from the contest and gave there all during the entire game.

Malone scored three tries, and should have scored a fourth when Michael Barker broke through and appeared to have bee delibertly tripped, the referee failed to identify the correct culprid and the incident went un punnished.

This was a gutsy Malone performance against a massive City of Derry pack, credit to all the Malone players who stuck to the task, showed guts and determination to win against a team that has shown great previous form over the season.

Malone tries were scored by Johnny Burgess (2) and Michael Barker (1), the remaing points were from the boot of Josh Pentland.

A great result, one to be justly proud of.
