This young Malone side gave the students of Trinity College a real run for there money. The game was in doubt as lick off approaced however the referee decided to go ahead on one of the worst pitches i have seen in many a season, mud abounded and green grass was a rairity.

The conditions played havoc for all concerned and at scrum time keeping your feet was a major issue. Malone were ahead at the conclusion of the first half by 11-3 through two penaltys from Josh Pentland and a superb try from winger Taylor Acheson The students scored a single penalty.

The second half saw the students score two tries and a penalty to regain the lead.

Malone did pile on the pressure and laid seige to the home line but alas to often the ball was knocked on as the line beckoned, that said the whole team gave there all and should be proud of their efforts. We pick up yet another losing bonus point our 5th of the season which is some consolation.

Many thanks to those Malone supporters who made the trip to Dublin and were vocal in their support.
