Malone 1st & 2nd XV’s win their respective games away to Ards, both sides won well and scored heavily.
Malone had a good day away to Ards the 2’s started the ball rolling with a comprehensive win by 36-7.
The 1st’s started nervously against Ards who were up for the encounter, Malone opened the scoring with an unconverted try from Ogiliby, but Ards responded with a try from their winger which was converted giving them the lead for the only time in the game.
Further first half tries from Acheson (2), and Barker left the half time score with Malone ahead by 24-7
The second half saw Malone increase their lead with 3 more tries from Pentland, Maxwell and Marwood, Ards were always competitive but Malone had to much in the pack and the back line to allow them to be troubled.
