Ed O’Donoghue, Andy Kyriacou, recently checked out the Giuseppes’s Italian Sourdough Pizza restaurant, on the Lisburn Road.
Situated on the ever popular Lisburn Road Giuseppes’s is a relaxed pizza eaterie, offering the unique and healthy sourdough pizza.
This bustling contemporary bistro has a wide choice of menus available for both lunch and dinner, comprising of snacks, light meals, full meals and daily specials making it the ideal stop, after some shopping on the Lisburn Road.
Despite the restaurant being busy we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff and shown to our table where we reviewed the extensive, and reasonably priced, menu.
The restaurant is newly refurbished, with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. You can dine outside or inside and covering two floors. The second floor can be booked for parties of up to 50. More importantly than this though is the unique flavour and health benefits of Sourdough.
The pizza is gorgeous and really tastes alot nicer than the usual offerings. Very quickly prepared and with an excellent range of toppings, but there is something really tasty about this Sourdoagh pizza.
Sourdough is vastly more healthy than normal pizza dough and actually works by taking yeast from the air, instead of artificial yeast, sugar and salt being added! Pizza has long been a source of carbohydrates and maybe thats why so many rugby players are flocking to Giuseppe’s. At any rate we thoroughly recommend it for the health benefits and also because the Pizza tastes delicious!
The food and the service were top quality in a friendly and relaxing setting. Our biggest surprise was the bill as it came in at less than £30 for three people!!
