On Wednesday 9th March the Moy Park Lurgan Tigers in association with Ulster Rugby held its annual tag rugby blitz at Lurgan RFC. Ten of our local schools entered the fun day and used the opportunity to show off their skills and rugby awareness. The weather was indifferent to begin with but soon picked up and all boys and girls played with great levels of commitment and enthusiasm –putting into practice what they had learned from development officer Jonny Gillespie. The teams played three games before lunch and two games afterwards with the Fair Play award going to Bleary PS. Lurgan Tigers would like all schools and players for taking part, Ulster Rugby and tournament sponsor Keith Hamilton from the James Hamilton Group.
