Following their magnificent victory away to second placed Exmouth on Saturday 6th last, the London Irish Wild Geese, the first XV of London Irish Amateur RFC are just one point away from securing the National League 3 South West title.
Promotion for the Wild Geese means playing in Level 4 of English rugby, National League 2 South!
With only two more rounds of games in National Division 3 it’s all to play for, and next Saturday the Geese host the only side to have beaten them this season, Weston-super-Mare.
Weston are currently third in the table and are looking to finish second thereby securing a promotion play-off place. For the London Irish Wild Geese the game will be their final home game this season and the team want to secure the final point that sees them automatically promoted in front of the home crowd at Sunbury.
It promises to be a wonderful afternoon and hopefully, a wonderful party too, and it all takes place at the spiritual home of London Irish, The Avenue in Sunbury.
The Club extends an invitation to anyone who is a London Irish RFC season ticket holder to come to the Avenue in Sunbury to watch the game free of charge and support the Wild Geese.
The rugby they have played all season has been a joy to watch so it will be an entertaining, old fashioned rugby day out.
