Once again the Mini Section of Ballymena Rugby Club has teamed up with McKillop’s SPAR on Frys Road.
This year proprietor Eamon McKillop provided water bottles for the under 7, 8 and 9 age groups. SPAR Frys Road have also provided Beanie hats for the under 8’s which the club very gratefully received, finding that they will come in useful in the cold winter months ahead.
Speaking about his commitment to the local club Eamon commented, “I am a proud supporter of our local Rugby club and am happy to be able to provide support to them in this way. I believe is it very important to be an active member within my local community, to help make a positive impact on the future of the club and the youngsters involved, encouraging sport and healthy lifestyles from a young age, and as such, we at SPAR Frys Road are very happy to be associated with a number of sporting clubs in the local community.”
Development Officer, Tom Wiggins commented, “We are delighted to have SPAR Frys Road on board again this year and their support is very much appreciated and goes along way to help make the club the success it is today.”
Tom added, “If anyone is part of a community group or a volunteer organisation and would be interested in trying out something a little different, I am available to discuss your needs and can arrange a fun session, games or a bespoke session for your organisation whatever your participants age or ability. We have been involved with various diverse groups from Anchor Boys, to our local schools and beyond. The clubhouse itself is also available for functions and meetings.”
We have spaces available at all levels from Minis through to Youth and details of the club, training times and contacts can be found on www.ballymenarfc.com.”
