U15S 36 VS BALLYNAHINCH 7 REPORT
6 tries 3 conv
Tries by Daniel Faulkner, Peter Scott, Sam MacGinty and Oisin Toal.
This was a frenetic, tough game, but Letterkenny dominated the match from the end of the first quarted when Daniel Faulkner ran in a great try just before coming off with an ankle injury. That score spurred on the team, so tries followed from Oisin, Peter twice and Sam twice. The squad of 24 all played and all played well, with Eunan and Diarmuid having a fine day as well as Ben Khavia and Joe Dunleavy. Paul Johnston and Martin making some good tackles and Kieran running constantly at ‘Hinch’.
‘Hinch’ dropped the head after the first score and it showed. Persistence by their wonderful Number 8 led to him scoring a last minute solo try and conversion, to finish the game.
‘Hinch’ were gracious in defeat and good hosts. Letterkenny move to the Quarter Final next week away to Donegal Town.
Thanks to the travelling supporters and to the Referee who managed the game well and even fed the visitors after the game.
