Lenco Utilites, a privately owned company was established in 1993 with a head office located in Armagh City. Lenco’s core activities include major projects in Telecommunication and Electrical power installations, Gas and Water Distribution systems and associated civil engineering works. The company’s foundation is based on many years experience work in the utility sector. It is a sector that demands strong competencies around process management and delivery, skills for which Lenco have a proven history.
Lenco provides a managed service operation to blue chip Clients in the utility sector. Notably the Company have been at the forefront of the optical fibre revolution, completing projects throughout the UK and Ireland.
Lenco has the ability and resources to schedule and deliver a mixture of large and small projects for the Client with consistency, quality and focus, all of which ensures repeat business. In the utility industry this expertise increases productivity and reduces costs. Works are subcontracted from all the main Telecom operators with the Company offering infrastructure maintenance and replacement service.
At present projects range from working on the FTTC project with BT to upgrading Street Lighting schemes and bringing natural gas to towns and cities in Northern Ireland. Other works are ongoing in England, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.
The Company’s aim is to provide the Client innovative solutions to their projects, achieving deadlines and delivering within budget. Through expansion, and the selective recruitment of key personnel, Lenco has built a reputation for providing a service to its Clients which is second to none. The company currently employs over 120 field operatives backed by 25 staff with regional offices and operating centres in Glasgow, Gloucester, and Rotherham in the UK
and Portlaoise in ROI.
