Enniskillen got their season back on track after defeat the previous week, when they travelled to Larne and recorded a handsome win over the hosts, grabbing a scoring bonus point.

Despite what was a good warm up following the long journey, it was as if ‘Skins were still on the bus with a lethargic opening to the match.

The play during that first half was a bit too loose but a change of gameplan at the halftime interval saw ‘Skins start to exert dominance and with it four tries came to add to the solitary effort in the first half.

Once again, ‘Skins were forced to complete a match below full strength when John Courtney had to take his leave going into the final quarter of the game. By this stage ‘Skins were in the ascendancy and with the extra man the home side could do nothing to stop the ‘Skins juggernaut.

After the lacklustre opening it was an excellent team performance and one that bodes well for the season so long as everyone maintains their concentration and commitment.

For the record the tries came from David Taylor (2), skipper Alan Wilkinson, Trevor Whitaker and Ricky Connor. James McIntyre chipped in with four conversions.

There is no game for the 1st XV this Saturday with the next being a home fixture against Letterkenny on Saturday 8th October, however the 2nd XV entertain Instonians and everyone is urged to come along and support them following there difficult start to the season.

Elsewhere, the 3rd XV travel to Cavan whilst the Under-19s are scheduled to travel to Letterkenny.

Finally, the club’s second World Cup breakfast is being held on Sunday 2nd October prior to Ireland’s crucial encounter with Italy. The kick-off time is 8:30, with breakfast served from 7:30, so come along and enjoy rugby in the only true place to do so in Fermanagh!
