The weather was very good and added to a superb day for the NGN 7s who literally were brilliant. There were a lot of very good teams at the tourbament Saturday Open Quigg competition as you would expect. From the first game it was clear that NGN coached by Ulster Rugby players had serious ability and were right from then contenders for the Quigg Open title. That opening form continued and basically they came close to keeping a clean sheet throughout the tournament. It would not be unreasonable to say that they did not really get out of 3rd gear in terms of prising open defences, because they did not need to! Again its important to reiterate that the opposition teams were very good, but all credit to NGN Sevens they were out and out deservedly the champions.
