Heaney puts the boot into Buccs!
After a week to forget Buccaneers were dealt another blow by a determined Belfast Harlequins side in what could be only described as very difficult conditions. It was a well taken try by Rory Scholes and the boot of Michael Heaney steered the home side to victory.

Quins started well and had the upper hand in the first half with their pack dominating the set pieces despite playing against the elements. Heaney was on target with a penalty after 16 minutes, but Jack Carty evened things up for Buccaneers 14 minutes later when Quins were adjudged to be offside in their own half. Quins defence seemed to be in disarray after the restart and Dan Qualter easily forced his way over for a Buccs try on 33 minutes, but Carty was unable to convert.

Quins continued to dominate in the second half and there was only an exchange of penalties between the sides. Heaney was successful with penalties at 65 mins after a Buccs player was yellow carded for a high tackle on Robert Logan and then again 3 minutes before time. Buccaneers Carty was successful at 62 minutes and then again on the stroke of full time to clinch a losing bonus point.
