A Saturday morning, wintry, but bright sunshine and the sound of a rugby match on the 1st XV pitch in front of the clubhouse. A decent crowd has gathered as two local rivals go head to head at U17 level.
What follows is an exciting game of rugby between two youth teams. The first 25 mintues was dominated by Malone, with Instonians clawing back a 2 try deficit to finish the half like for like. Both teams began the second half with flair and fought tooth and nail for every inch. A fantastic game to watch and we look forward to both sides developing as the season reaches the half way stage.
As for now the next few months will see these teams battle through their league. Both have been picking off the other teams and both will meet again!
Instonians took the victory. But this young Malone side will learn from the experience.
