Instonians had a good win over Randalstown in the first league game of the season. Captain Ryan Law got the team of to a good start with a try after 15 minutes, converted by Any Keane. Big Robbie Alexander then drove over for a try following a tapped penalty to leave the score 14- 0 at half time. Lurgan enjoyed a good spell of pressure at the start of the second half and were rewarded with a try. Indiscretions by Instonians led to two yellow cards, but Instonians continued to enjoy the lion’s share of possession. Ryan Law ended the scoring with another try scored after a break and a strong run which ended up with him going over at the posts.
