1st XV have dramatic win 28-26 at Queens in quarter final of senior cup
Head coach after the game Bruce Corneillius said “the performance was more important than the result”.
Hopefully the team can now see the potential when things we plan to do happen:
The penalty count was down
The scrum much improved
Players did the simple things well and as confidence grew all of a sudden things happen, quick rucks, support play and line breaks.
Again Nick Finlay slotted a penalty with the last play of the game to win the match.
Queens were without players, so were we. But we have a squad, the entrie bench was used and everyone who took to the field played their part.
The only negative was injury to Stuart McAllister who at the time of writing was still at casuatly awaiting an x-ray on his leg, hopefully nothing seroius.
