Instonians 60 – Dromore 5
This was Instonians third bonus point win in three outings in the Kurki Qualifying League 1 game at Shawsbridge.
Played in beautiful conditions it took the league leaders 8 minutes to open the score. Out-half Fraser Wright struck a penalty from just inside the 22. The next twenty minutes were tit for tat before Instonians really turned up the pressure. A penalty award took them to a line out inside the Dromore 22. A well worked maul brought them right up to the try line. The ball was then fed to Fraser right who ghosted over for a lovely score in the corner for a try which he converted.

Instonians 2nd XV went into their second league game with a young but experienced side.
On a beautiful day the game began with Ballyclare having much of the possession in the first 5 minutes resulting in the first of around a dozen penalties conceeded by Instonians, luckily it was missed as was an Instonians penalty minutes later. Ballyclare continued to attack but strong instonians defence repelled them with Ben Davis and Ricky McNeely setting the pattern for the day. Instonians first try came on 20 minutes with Chris Dugan making one of many breaks and passing to McNeely to score.
