2015 and Instonians continue their winning run!
Harlequins 2nds 6 – Instonians 13
Harlequins kicked off this first round McCrea Cup game at their home grounds in Deramore Park.
It was bright sunny day although quite cold.
They faced a much changed Instonians’ side from the regular league line up. Instonians had taken the chance to rest some of their players while some others were unavailable. This meant that it was a first competitive start for young scrum- half Andrew Keane, who had come all the way up through the mini and youth sections of the club.
It was also a belated first start for number 8 Brian Hughes, who joined the club 4 years ago but was so plagued with injuries that he took up refereeing for several seasons.
