Instonians travelled to Donaghadee seeking their seventh win out of seven leagues games and that is what they got!
Dee kicked off in dry but very heavy conditions after a week of down pours. A penalty from a driving maul allowed Instonians to mount their first attack in opposition territory. A second penalty just a minute later gave them a strike position inside the Donaghadee 22. Big Conor Brockschmidt, in the second row, made a lot of ground before being held five metres out, just when it looked that the attack would move right, scrum half, Matthew Keane saw that the Dee defence had drifted too soon and cut back in to out-sprint any remaining cover and score in the corner. The conversion proved too difficult an angle for out half Fraser Wright.
