HSBC are continuing the search for the ultimate Sevens Fan at round six of the HSBC Sevens World Series, the world-renowned Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens.

The fan campaign was launched at the first leg of the HSBC Sevens World Series on the Gold Coast, Australia and is a Series-long competition for fans at all nine international Sevens’ tournaments. Fans have the chance to not only be named as the fan of the tournament but also enter to become the fan of the Series.

The lucky winner of the overall campaign will win a VIP trip for four to a tournament of their choice, choosing from any of the HSBC Sevens World Series tournaments across five different continents – Gold Coast (Australia), Dubai, Port Elizabeth (South Africa), Wellington, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Glasgow and London.

The first five tournament winners have already been selected for their entries at earlier rounds, and the chosen entry from this weekend’s tournament in Hong Kong will join the previous winners to compete to be crowned the overall Sevens Fan of the Series.

During the Hong Kong Sevens this weekend, fans are encouraged to upload photos of themselves at the Sevens via Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. By using the hash tag #SevensFan fans will automatically enter themselves into the Hong Kong round of the competition. All imagery uploaded will be aggregated to the official IRB Sevens World Series official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/irbsevens) and fans are encouraged to share this with their friends.

“The popularity of Sevens continues to grow with fans of all ages and nationalities enjoying the action on and off the pitch across the world. As the Series has grown and become more and more internationally connected it’s a chance to launch this new campaign aimed at further helping connect fans across the world” commented Andrea de Vincentiis, HSBC Head of Rugby Sponsorship.

“We are hoping to find the number one fan of the HSBC Sevens World Series but in so doing bring the tournaments and their fans closer together and further promote the Series element of the circuit.”
