Ulster Chief executive Shane Logan and Heineken’s National Events & Sponsorship Manager Pat Maher celebrate the new partnership
With the 2010-11 shortly due to get underway, Ulster Rugby announced in August that Heineken is to become its new pourage partner at Ravenhill.
Heineken, who are known for their involvement in rugby through their long-term sponsorship of the Heineken Cup, have signed a substantial agreement with Ulster Rugby for the pouring rights over the next five seasons, and the deal will see Heineken Beer and Murphy’s’ Stout poured from all bars at Ravenhill.
Ulster Rugby Chief Executive Shane Logan commented;
“I’m delighted to welcome Heineken on board as a new sponsor of Ulster Rugby. Our new partnership represents a significant investment in Ulster Rugby’s future but equally, in Heineken, we’ve got a world brand which resonates well with our supporters as well as with what we’re trying to achieve here at Ulster Rugby and at Ravenhill”.
Heineken Marketing Director, Walter Drenth welcomes the partnership with Ulster Rugby.
“In the course of our meetings with the team at Ulster Rugby we were impressed with their vision and ambition for the future, both for Ulster Rugby and the Ravenhill Stadium. The values, passion and of Ulster Rugby fits with our Heineken view and ambition. Both our brands represent premium quality and have international respect. It is a very compatible partnership as we look forward to further develop the Heineken brand and other brands in our portfolio in Northern Ireland. We very much look forward to mutual successes.”
