Group activities that are perfect for hen/stag do’s
Getting away for a night or even a weekend as a group to celebrate a “hen” or “stag” break is one of the best breaks or holidays that anyone can have. The “hen” or “stag” is embarking through the union of marriage or an important service publicly on the most wonderful relationship of their lives! For thousands of years friends have marked this occasion with celebrations and events and with modern travelling by plane and even train and sea the horizon of possible events and locations to hold a “stag” or “hen” weekend has expanded dramatically!
So what are the activities that are great for hen/stag dos.
It is important to consider this in advance! Whilst also of course trying to also juggle so to speak the location for the important nights out! You may want nights out to take place in well known hen/stag do hot spots (hot spots are cities or any location that specialises in hen/stag do parties, nights out and evening entertainment and very often offering packages that include accommodation and nights out and even transport while on location!).
Events to consider
So! Considering your options and drawing together the list of hot spots for hen/stag do’s (if that’s the priority) allows you to move to the next step for many in the process which is what day or night events are the best for stag do groups. This list is by no means exhaustive please do carry out your own research and check out all the options to find the perfect solution for your needs. Having said that the idea of getting together perhaps as rugby team of girls or boys and doing something like Zorbing, or Paintballing at night time in a range of urban, suburban or rural style game zones, or a zombie infected town is very exciting. One of the big recent challenge type events is Axe throwing… there are so many ideas to choose from! Why not back this up with a perfume testing experience or make your own perfume experience, and a visit for everyone to a top class spa treatments and retreat location for the ultimate relaxing day after (or before) the hen or stag night! On the stag or hen night why not think outside the box and attend a favourite performance art installation followed by a concert or musical night which best fits the groups concept of retro such as 80’s or 90’s boy or girl band tribute acts before hitting the town for drinks and food!
One of the most rewarding experiences is to get into nature but in an exciting way! For example, coasteering has become a very popular event for groups which with highly trained professionals brings the group around the coastline of the sea and/or land. Mixing canoeing, and also swimming and exploring the coastline and even diving of rock faces into beautiful sea pools. There are also locations in rural settings which specialise in providing outdoors experiences. Many locations offer chalet type over night stay accommodation that can provide beds for everyone in log style cabins with all modern conveniences and a range of outdoors events on site. Things like shooting and target practice, bow and arrow practice, fishing on sea or lakes for big game. For motorheads why not keep it simple for less experienced group members and go indoor go karting or outdoors. Those karts can really get up some speed and the tracks are set up to be navigable by everyone and yet challenging enough for the more competitive types! A few hours of high octane go karting is really super fun!
If you plan this and crucially get buy in from the group members in advance (balancing of course what the hen or stag themselves would like) then you are sure to have the most memorable weekend or day/night imaginable and have those cherished memories to share forever! This is especially important considering theat the hen or stag is embarking on one of the most wonderful long lasting experiences of their lives! Its such a life enhancing experience to transition from being in a committed loving relationship to evolve that through a service or joining experience or wedding to sow vows publicly with family and friends that celebrates this partnership fully! This experience and process is enhanced by having a very memorable and fun packed hen or stag do!
Thank you so much for reading and please do your own research as this post is designed to help with the creative process of planning your ideal celebration! Have a wonderful time and be safe!
Best wishes!
