I sat down tonight to write a match report based on todays game but as I gathered my thought rumours started to circulate of a tragic accident in County Down. Quickly the rumours of deaths in a farming accident were confirmed. Shortly after that several sources suggested and then confirmed that Nevin Spence, the Ulster centre, had infact died in the accident along with his father and brother.
After this news the result today paled into insignificance. I offer no apology for this but RIP Nevin Spence, his father and his brother. I also offer my condolences to the Spence family and leave you with my favourite Spence moment.” Grosvenor RFC
