The 2017 Denver International Spirits Competition

Denver, CO (Thursday, March 23, 2017) – Global Spirits USA, a privately held, international manufacturer and marketer of wines and spirits, is pleased to announce that its LEAF and Khortytsa Vodka brands received gold medals at the 2017 Denver International Spirits Competition.

“Each year, our LEAF and Khortytsa Vodkas continue to receive outstanding accolades from leading industry competitions,” says Global Spirits CEO Max Dubossarsky. “Our sales continue to grow as consumers also discover and share their experiences with these amazing brands!”

LEAF Vodkas are sourced from two unique American waters, which give the vodkas their signature tastes. For example, LEAF Vodka made from Alaskan Glacial Water has a pure, smooth taste with a hint of sweetness while LEAF Vodka made from Rocky Mountain Mineral Water offers richness and complexity, lending a warm and savory impression on the palate. The product retails for approximately $15.99.

Ukraine’s famed Khortytsa (Hor-Ti-Tsa) Vodka is recognized as one of the world’s leading vodkas, but is still a relative newcomer to the American market. It retails for approximately $14.99.

According Wine & Spirits Research (IWSR) Agency, Khortytsa was the third largest international selling global vodka brand at 6.4 million cases, and it is quickly gaining ground among US consumers.

The Khortytsa Distillery is located in the Ukrainian city of Zaporozhe near Khortytsa Island. This ancient island’s history dates back thousands of years and reaches the roots of civilization. It is a sacred place in Ukraine — considered to be the cradle and heart of Ukrainian national pride –and is one of the country’s seven wonders.

Built in 2003, the Khortytsa Distillery is among the world’s finest distilleries. It uses a local organic filter containing schungite (a unique natural mineral) which allows it to get as close as possible to the structure of natural water. The filtration process is further enhanced with special birch and alder-tree charcoal and quartz sand sourced near the famous Ural Mountains.
