Europe’s leading watermelon water brand, ‘What A Melon’, has released a new 1 litre take-home pack, meaning coconut-shy consumers can now do even more with this summer’s thirst quencher of choice.
Positioned as the ‘perfect summer fix without the bits & pips’, the new 1 litre pack has come to help you ‘shake, share and celebrate, those endless summer vibes’ – since nobody eats a watermelon on their own.
So much more than just watermelon and a splash of spring water, (there’s a squeeze of lemon in there too), watermelon water naturally contains potassium and the muscle-loving amino acid Citrulline, making it an ideal choice for every gym bunny, downward dog and dancing queen.
In the last six months, the brand has secured nationwide distribution across 240 Waitrose stores, 400 Sainsbury’s stores and 700 Holland & Barrett stores. Elsewhere you can find it in Itsu, Abokado, Pod, Crepe-affair, Whole foods, Planet Organic, Selfridges, Harrods and John Lewis’s foodhall. It is also stocked at the UK’s hottest new hotel and celebrity haunt, The Ned London.
Olly Bolton, Managing Director of What A Melon commented: “It’s been a phenomenal year for watermelon water, helped in larger part by Beyoncé investing in to the category! The rapid growth of What A Melon is a clear sign that consumers want tastier alternatives to coconut water and healthier alternatives to traditional juices.
The product, made with 80% watermelon juice, a splash of spring water and lemon, contains approximately half a watermelon per 330ml Tetrapak®and with no added sugar, artificial flavours or additives, it contains only 36 Kcal per 150ml serving.
