Smiles all round for  Enniskillen Captain Ben Hamilton and try scorers James Prenter and Ross Duncan at the end of the Forsters Cup Final.

Enniskillen eventually came out top in this hard fought Forsters Cup Final against Monaghan at Ravenhill with a late try by Ross Duncan taking the final score to 18 -10.

Enniskillen got out of the blocks quickly with an early penalty by Rory Connolly thaking the score to 3 – 0 within minutes of the kick off.

‘Skins had more opportunities to go further ahead as they pounded the Monaghan line but it was the Monaghan men who were next to score with a well executed try by centre Jo Jo Sheridan who crashed over under the posts, taking a fair few of the ‘Skins defence with him. Scrum half Jonny Reid converted taking the score to 3 – 7.

Monaghan had further chances close to the Enniskillen line and they eventually went further ahead a penalty by Reid. This was cancelled out by a penalty by Connolly taking the half time score to 10 – 6.

Monaghan must have been confident at half time as they turned round to play with the breeze but it was Enniskillen who were able to raise their game taking the lead with a try by James Prenter giving the ‘Skins a slender one point lead.

There was no lack of effort from the Monaghan side but it was ‘Skins who looked on top for the rest of the game and they got their reward when the impressive Ross Duncan barged over, with his pack behind him, to give ‘Skins a deserved 18 -10 win.
