The Ulster High Schools U14s competition came its conclusion in February. 48 high schools entered regional qualifiers in Donegal, Omagh, Carrick, Lurgan and Ballymoney and 16 schools won through to the finals at Ballymena RFC. The 4 pools were won by Fivemiletown , Sperrin , Lurgan and Dromore. Fivemiletown College and Lurgan Junior High won through from the semis to contest the final. Both teams were matched in the forward department but it was Lurgan who had a devastating backline that took the trophy in style.
During the presentation, Ulster Branch Community Rugby Officer Darren McGuigan thanked all the schools for taking part , the teachers for assisting with the refereeing and also to Ballymena RFC for providing use of the club facilities.
