Finn Valley started off the better of the 2 two teams and 2 minutes into the game Cody Laverty made a darting run up the right touchline to score the games first try. Great defensive play and smart turnovers enabled the finn valley U14s to control the 1st half and before the half time whistle blew, Jack Kennedy, Jake Laverty and Adam Marley added another 3 tries. Cody Laverty was in fine kicking form as he narrowly missed a conversion from an angle any professional kicker would have struggled with. The 2nd half started Brighter for Ballyshannon, Some great phases of play led to their number 8 plowing over the line despite the best attempts from the Finn Valley pack. Ben curran who captained the finn valley side added experience and motivation to the young finn valley lads and led by example as he plowed over the line to score Finn Valleys 5th and final try.
