FACES OF THE BHUBESI PRIDE

It’s time for a BPF update and we invite you to take a moment to be inspired by the remarkable work we’re all doing in Africa.

This year, as Bhubesi Pride Foundation continues to enable rugby coaching, sports resources and training for thousands of young people and community leaders in nine African countries, we continue to solidify and build meaningful charity relationships. Our impact is being realised by so many special people. To showcase these individuals, Pride member, Johanna Waide, has been meeting each of them and sharing their insights through our new ‘Faces of the Pride‘ series of articles.

Explore a selection of features, below, and discover more on our website blog:

RUGBY INSPIRES KERRY AND PETER

Bringing our charity work further to life, young filmmaker, Ali Olivier, spent time in the Mathare district of Nairobi and with SPEC Foundation in Jinja, Uganda, meeting two inspirational young men. Kerry talks about the power of rugby on his life and Peter discusses how Bhubesi Pride Foundation’s work brings joy and value to the community in which he works.

MALAWI COMMUNITY CENTRE BUILD PROJECT

With a further GBP 10,000 donated from Jason Leonard’s Atlas Foundation, we’re now up to GBP 40,000 raised for a community project in Malawi which will change lives. On a plot of land outside Lilongwe, we’re planning to lay a rugby field and a netball pitch, build a club house and visitor accommodation. If you want to help us further, contact us!

We always love hearing from people who want to get further involved with the Pride. If you have some creative ideas about how to engage the charity, get in touch.
