Fresh off the back of last weekends Rugby League Inter-Provincials, 4 of Ulster’s Rugby League teams battled it out in the brilliant sunshine giving two excellent displays of hard yards and running rugby league.
With no shortage of scores, two deserved winners emerged making for some interesting games ahead.
Strangford Sharks 60 – East Belfast bulldogs 14
Ballynahinch Rabittohs 86 – Portadown Pumas 18
With so much to play for, several of these guys are knocking on Ireland Duties, with am Ireland A player amongst the line-up and Ulster level players in abundance!
The results confirm many predictions and make for some exciting fixtures ahead!
We managed to catch up with the Strangford Sharks Captain Andy Todd after their game, he said, “Week on week we are improving, the boys are doing well in the change of code from Union to League, our goal will be to make the final”.
All the teams will be battling it out for the rest of the summer and we look forward to reporting on as many games as we can with reports and pictures.
