The IV XV have progressed into their second successive Forster Cup Final thanks to the cultured boot of Cormac Convery.
This was a tight match with the dreaded yellow card having an affect on the outcome.
Banbridge took the lead with a penalty that Cormac matched before kicking Dungannon into a 6-3 lead on the half hour. Before halftime Bann scored the only try of the game to go into the break 8-6 ahead.
Gannon lost their hooker to the bin. Cormac missed a penalty attempt before booting Dungannon into the lead on the hour.

Bann then lost their goal kicker to the bin and when Christopher Holland was sent to the sidelines for allegedly collapsing a maul the stand-in kicker missed the opportunity to steal the game for Banbridge.
A workmanlike performance by the IVs and a great game to win no matter what.
In a repeat of last season’s final the IVs now face Rainey. Let us hope for a better outcome for both teams this season.
