Dromore High school collected the 1st trophy of the Ulster Branch High Schools calender when they took the U16 Pollock Cup at Ballymena RFC. The top 8 schools who qualifed from 4 regional heats met in the round robin finals with an overall final between Omagh High and Dromore High. A spirited Omagh side proved a match for the county Down side in the 1st half but were eventually wore down in the second and Dromore ran away comfortable 24-0 winners. At the presentation ceremony, Ulster Branch Community Rugby Officer Darren McGuigan thanked the Ballymena club for hosting the finals, the High Schools Committee for organising the competition and PRO Paramedics for their assistance on the day. The competition also gave the players the opportunity to showcase their talents infront of Development Squad management.
