This was a big win for Donegal 1sts in a game more competitive than the score suggests. The home side ran in 5 tries. Pete-so Cannon got over for the opening try (and added three conversions later) Donagh O Callaghan got number two following some great phases of forward play and added a penalty. Greth McMurray crossed over in the second half following a great run By Declan Gallagher, who ‘popped’ to. out half Donagh, who in turn put Gareth through. The captain’s try came next as a result of hard won territory by the pack, then slick ball from Pete-so Cannon to centre, Conal O Callaghan who fed Big Nev. Nev ‘swanned’ over for Donegal’s 4th try. Rory Boyle applied the final touch with a great try in the left corner for the last piece of open play in a game that consolidated Donegal Town RFC’s second place in the league.
