THIRDS LOSE AT ROUGHFORT

With Donaldson Park falling victim to the persistent torrential rain last Saturday causing the Q1 game against CIYMS to be postponed the 3rd XV travelled to North Belfast to take on their Academy counterparts. In the absence of Mark Mitchell, Garth Bennett assumed the Captain’s role and in a hard fought game the Dee men came a close second falling by a 23-16 scoreline.

THIS WEEK

Having got a bye in the First Round the 1st XV welcome Enniskillen to Donaldson Park to open their account in the Second Round of this season’s Powerade Towns Cup this Saturday. The two sides have had many interesting tussles in both league & cup in recent years – most recently when a last minute score knocked the Dee out of the Cup some three seasons ago. There is a Pre-Match lunch in the Clubhouse prior to the game. Festivities commence at 12:45pm and the cost is £10 for a two course lunch – please contact Ian Fleming if you wish to attend. Elsewhere the 2nd XV & the 3rd XV are both on their travels – the former at Portadown IIIs and the latter at Ballynahinch VIs. All games kick off at 2:30pm.

HEINEKEN CUP QUARTER FINAL

Please note that (as with all Ulster games) Clubs do not receive any ticket allocation so if you wish to attend the Heineken Cup Quarter Final versus Saracens in early April the only way to get tickets is via Ulster Rugby itself (or other nominated outlets).
