Swedish brand Prettypegs has teamed up with Sweden’s biggest second hand organization, Myrorna to upcycle some of the most stylish statement pieces you have ever seen from a second hand store! With four hand picked Scandinavian designers to add their touch. All furniture pieces are auctioned off on Prettypegs’ website – for some lucky DIY lovers to get their hands on. The online auction is active the 1st – 28th of February with all profit going to the great charity work of the Salvation Army by Myrorna.
“One of our missions is to get swedes and people around the world to recycle more, and our aim is to inspire everyone that like to create a unique home!“ says Nina Adler, Communications Manager for Myrorna.
“Together with some of the most creative designers we saw the potential of second hand furniture and this has been a fantastic way to highlight the positive aspects of recycling! We look forward to the auction and think that it feels great to be able to do this with the Salvation Army (Myrorna) and actively contribute to their social activities.” says Jana Cagin, Prettypegs co-founder.
Second hand is hotter than ever. So rethink throwing away old furniture and start to see it as an opportunity instead of as consumables. Take the very affordable and personalized way to make something that used to be beautiful, beautiful again. And this way stand out from mass production and help build a better world for generations to come. And a dash of Nordic Deco style couldn’t hurt either. So let’s get auctioning & upcycling!
